Doesn’t this bring you back? This reminds me of those dreary days, coming home all drenched in fall rain (footnote: I live in Vancouver). Nothin’ better than a bowl of instant noodle while downing a box of Vita Lemon Tea!

Tami’s Birthday at the Market Restaurant in Shangri-la.

Wasn’t the most romantic of settings, but I don’t think she would have wanted it any other way. The day started off at the driving range at Swan-E Set. We spent 3 and a half hours slicing and hooking. Then we headed out to dinner at Ping’s for some japanese comfort food under torrential rain pour. The restaurant was quaint and unpretentious. There was a handmade stuffed Jesus hanging over the bar, don’t know what that was about. After the rain subsided, we spontaneously decided to go watch The Hanger, again. Great movie, got me in the mood to get engaged. So I decided to do it right in the theatre, on one knee! It was too dark for her to see the rock, but she was quite happy once she saw it in the light. Shiny…! Then in the elevator, we shared a moment with Willie Mitchell from the Canucks. Awesome night.
