We tried something a little different today. Instead of being our usual anti-social selfs at the table, one co-worker suggested we should enforce some sort of phone ettiquette he picked up in Asia. It goes something like this: each person places their phone at the centre of the table; for the duration of the meal, no one can interact with their phone, forcing actual human to human interaction. Crazy. The consequence if the rule is not followed? Round of drinks. But for you heavy drinkers, a harsher penalty should be enforced. My one suggestion from this experience is this; make sure your phone is facing down. You don’t want your co-workers to discover your ‘sexting’ habits.

After reading several news articles on how Coke is such a health hazard, I’ve decided I should try and reduce my consumption. There’s no way I can ever give up my beverage of choice, so trying to convince myself to go cold turkey would be a waste of my time. Instead, I’ve decided to replace my daily dose with coconut water. It took some time but I’m starting to actually enjoy it. My challenge now is to have coconut water during the weekday and have coke on the weekends (Friday is considered a weekend). I initially was going to set today as Day One of my challenge, not realizing it’s actually Friday. So I guess I’ll start Monday =).
