Just got the go ahead to purchase the Flip Mino HD for some off the cuff, on the fly interviews at work. The device looks really sleek and very compact, so compact that I’m worried the screen may be too small.

A little bit of my family history on display. This is my grandfather’s pocket watch from back in the 1940′s. My aunt recently discovered the piece and passed it on to my father. As an early birthday gift, he gave it to me. The silver tag is engraved with my grandfather’s name and the name of the village he was from (Zhongshan, Guongdong, China). I look forward to one day, passing this on to my child on his/her birthday.

Last night, I watched ‘The Cove’, a documentary on the yearly slaughter of more than 20,000 dolphins off the coast of Japan. I was absolutely horrified by the footage I saw. It disturbed me to a point that I felt I needed to help get the word out. Some may say, ‘what’s the difference between killing a dolphin and slaughtering a cow for meat?’ Maybe that’s another battle I need to fight another day, but after watching ‘The Cove’, it was clear I wanted to act. iPhone Pix: iPad tethered…success!
Friday, May 21st, 2010So I’m working at home today and thought I’d take a break and figure out how to jailbreak my iPhone 3G so I can tether with my iPad. I downloaded RedSnOw and have been following the instructions on youtube…so far so good…more to come.
12:20pm: Success! I can now tether with my iPhone. Thanks Shelb for pointing me to the right direction.
Note: Don’t where your polarized sunglasses while using the iPad…you won’t be able to see the screen. I rebooted my iPad twice because I didn’t see anything, thinking it froze on me…then I took my RayBan’s off…[idiot]
